All for Peace and Dignity (APADE) is an international not-for-profit, non-governmental organization, registered under Canadian law in 2014 and Nigeria government in 2021. Our mission is to work with vulnerable people in poverty and distress to improve their well-being and together create a positive change. APADE’s activities focus on emergency, early recovery, resilience, and sustainable development for all people in dire need, regardless of religious, political, or ethnic affiliation, while advocating for peace and dignity for all. APADE in collaboration with WFP IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MASTER CARD FOUNDATION, is to implement a project in Northeast Nigeria (Adamawa State). The aim is to strengthen local food systems and create job opportunities for young women and men through an inclusive agribusiness value chain. This initiative aligns with WFP’s objectives of strengthening local food systems and creating job opportunities for young women and men, transforming lives, and enhancing private sector engagement to achieve zero hunger, by promoting financial inclusion and empowering youth economically.
In this context, APADE is seeking to recruit a suitable, competent, and dedicated candidate for a job opportunity to fill the position of “Assistant Monitoring and Evaluation.” The candidate will be assisting the M&E Officer in designing a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework, ensuring effective Tracking, Analysis, and Reporting project progress and outcome that aligns with WFP requirements and organizational objectives. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for Youth in Work outcomes.
DETAILS OF THE JOB:
Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Assistant.
location: Adamawa State, North East Nigeria.

Project Duration: 12 months
Reports To: MEAL Officer.
TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support implementation of the project M&E Plan, Logframe, Results Framework, Indicators Grid, and PITT.
- Assist in tracking progress against project outputs, outcomes, and impact related to youth employment and food value chains.
- Support beneficiary selection verification and profiling across value chain nodes.
- Assist in monitoring capacity strengthening activities, including training attendance, pre/post-tests, and training reports.
- Support monitoring of agricultural infrastructure development, equipment distribution, linkages, and matching grants.
- Assist in deploying approved data collection tools (surveys, attendance registers, FGDs, KIIs, PDM).
- Support baseline, midline, and endline data collection activities.
- Ensure data quality in line with project standards (validity, reliability, completeness, timeliness, confidentiality).
- Assist in data entry, cleaning, verification, and secure storage using Excel and approved digital tools.
- Support analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to assess income, employment, and business performance outcomes.
- Assist in preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, midline, and endline M&E reports for WFP and partners.
- Support documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and success stories in line with the project learning plan.
- Assist in implementing the project learning mechanism and participating in reflection and review meetings.
- Support data flow management from field collection to reporting and dissemination.
- Assist in monitoring gender, age, and vulnerability-disaggregated indicators.
- Assist in implementing complaints and feedback mechanisms and proper referral of issues raised.
- Support routine data quality checks and internal data quality assessments.
- Assist in training field staff, enumerators, and volunteers on M&E tools and ethical data collection.
- Support coordination with program teams, government stakeholders, and partners to share M&E findings and feedback.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Agriculture, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field (HND/ND).
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, research, or program monitoring within NGOs/INGOs or development projects.
- Demonstrated experience supporting M&E activities such as data collection, data entry, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience working on livelihood, youth employment, agribusiness, or humanitarian/development programs is an added advantage.
TECHNICAL SKILLS.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel; familiarity with SPSS, R, PowerBI or similar software is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, including surveys, FGDs, and KIIs.
- Ability to support data cleaning, verification, and basic analysis under supervision.
- Good understanding of M&E concepts, indicators, and results-based monitoring.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to support report writing and data presentation.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to work effectively with field teams, enumerators, and community stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and support problem-solving in a dynamic project environment.
