IITA is recruiting suitable Nigerian nationals for positions supporting its programmes and field activities.
- STATE HELPDESK OFFICER
CONTRACT: 1 YEAR RENEWABLE
LOCATIONS: JIGAWA, KANO, ABUJA, PLATEAU AND LAGOS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate the state-level programme help desk and respond to enquiries from prospective and enrolled participants, community members and partners.
- Provide accurate information on programme eligibility, application procedures, training schedules, Youth Agribusiness Park access and available support services.
- Receive, record and route participant and community feedback, questions and complaints, including safeguarding-sensitive concerns.
- Support outreach and community sensitization activities, particularly among young women, persons with disabilities and internally displaced youth.
- Maintain an organized and updated database of enquiries, referrals and resolutions.
- Monitor relevant local policy, regulatory and market developments affecting youth agribusiness.
- Assist with registration, attendance tracking, training sessions, cohort enrolment and Youth Agribusiness Park events.
- Coordinate with state programme team members to ensure participants receive consistent and accurate information.
- Prepare periodic reports on help desk activities, common enquiries and feedback trends.
- Uphold IITA safeguarding, confidentiality and code-of-conduct standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Social Sciences, Communications, Development Studies, Agriculture or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, community engagement, front desk operations or similar public-facing roles.
- Experience within an NGO or development programme is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and relevant local language or languages.
- Good knowledge of the local community, culture and context.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong customer service, organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
- Willingness to travel locally within the assigned state.
- DRIVER
CONTRACT: 1 YEAR RENEWABLE
LOCATIONS: PLATEAU, OYO, OGUN, ABUJA, EBONYI, ADAMAWA AND JIGAWA

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide safe and timely transportation for project staff, consultants, partners and visitors.
- Transport project materials, equipment and supplies to field locations.
- Ensure assigned vehicles are clean, roadworthy and properly maintained.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report mechanical faults, accidents and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel records, maintenance records and trip documentation.
- Support timely servicing, repairs, insurance renewals and vehicle licensing.
- Observe traffic regulations and maintain safe driving practices.
- Support logistics for trainings, workshops, field visits and stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure the security and proper handling of passengers, documents and equipment during transportation.
- Assist with loading and unloading project materials when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism and reliability.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of Secondary School Certificate.
- Additional training in vehicle maintenance is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s licence appropriate to the vehicle class.
- Clean driving record.
- Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience.
- Experience with an NGO, government agency or corporate organization is an advantage.
- Excellent driving skills and strong commitment to road safety.
- Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and care.
- Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
- Good knowledge of roads and routes within the assigned state, including rural areas.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and reliability.
- Physically fit and willing to travel frequently, including to remote locations.
