🎯

Job Summary

The Technical Officer will support malaria program implementation at the state level, working closely with government stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment interventions in line with national guidelines.

🧾

Key Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of malaria case management activities
  • Coordinate training and Integrated Monitoring & Supportive Supervision (iMSV)
  • Assist in delivering Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) campaigns
  • Support IPTp for pregnant women and LLIN distribution
  • Build capacity of State Ministry of Health personnel
  • Prepare and submit technical and service delivery reports
  • Represent MSH in Technical Working Groups (TWGs)
  • Document program evidence, lessons learned, and best practices

🎓

Qualifications

  • MBBS / MD (required)
  • Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience in public health
  • Experience in malaria programming is highly preferred

Experience & Skills

  • Strong experience in community-based health programs
  • Ability to provide technical support to partners
  • Knowledge of Global Fund processes (advantage)
  • Excellent report writing and documentation skills
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and teamwork
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
