Role Overview
The State Project Officer will coordinate and support project implementation at the state level, ensuring smooth collaboration between stakeholders, institutions, and the central project team.
This role is critical to delivering impactful innovation, entrepreneurship, and capacity-building programs across selected states.

Key Responsibilities
📌 State Coordination & Implementation
- Develop and manage state-level workplans
- Serve as the focal point for all project activities in the state
- Coordinate activities across Centres of Excellence (CoEs)
- Ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives
🤝 Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage universities, polytechnics, and government agencies
- Liaise with ESOs, MDAs, NBTE, NUC, and partners
- Organize meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions
📊 Monitoring & Supervision
- Track programme implementation and ESO performance
- Conduct site visits, audits, and verification exercises
- Identify and escalate implementation challenges
📈 Data & MEL Support
- Collect, verify, and report programme data
- Support MEL systems and reporting frameworks
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits and evaluations
⚙️ Operations & Logistics
- Coordinate training, workshops, and innovation programs
- Manage logistics, materials, and participant onboarding
📝 Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
- Document activities, outcomes, and lessons learned
- Maintain organized programme records
🌐 Community Engagement
- Drive outreach and awareness campaigns
- Promote youth, women, and community participation
- Support storytelling and visibility efforts
🎓
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Development Studies, Project Management, or related field
- Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage
💼
Experience
- 2–5 years in project coordination or development work
- Experience with NGOs, universities, or donor-funded projects is preferred

- Ability to manage multiple field activities
