A reputable organisation in the aviation industry is currently seeking experienced and highly professional individuals to fill the position of Protocol Officer. This role is available in Lagos State and Port Harcourt, offering an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong background in airport operations and passenger services.
The Protocol Officer will play a critical role in ensuring seamless travel experiences for passengers, including VIPs, executives, airline crew members, and other high-profile clients. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing both arrival and departure processes, providing tailored assistance, and ensuring that all client interactions reflect professionalism and efficiency.
Working within a fast-paced airport environment, the Protocol Officer will collaborate closely with airline representatives, airport authorities, immigration officials, customs officers, security personnel, and ground handling teams. The goal is to ensure smooth coordination of all processes while maintaining high service standards and compliance with aviation regulations.
Key responsibilities include facilitating passenger movement through airport procedures, assisting with travel documentation, coordinating special requests, and resolving any issues that may arise during transit. The role requires a strong understanding of airport protocols and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a minimum of an OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Hospitality, Public Relations, or a related discipline. Applicants should have at least five (5) years of relevant experience in aviation, airport operations, protocol services, travel coordination, or customer service.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in demanding situations. Flexibility is essential, as the role may require working shifts, weekends, and public holidays. A smart appearance and strong sense of discretion are also critical attributes for success.
