Community Initiative for Sustainable Development (COIN) is recruiting a Program Assistant to support implementation of donor-funded health interventions in Plateau State, with a strong focus on TB and HIV integration.
Position Details

Role Summary
The Program Assistant will support the implementation of GC7 NTHRIP Grant activities, focusing primarily on Tuberculosis (TB) Active Case Finding (ACF), including drug-sensitive and drug-resistant TB (DR-TB). The role also integrates PMTCT services, ensuring effective linkage and retention of HIV-positive mothers and infants in care.
Key Responsibilities
1. TB ACF & DR-TB Programming
- Plan and execute community TB screening and outreach campaigns
- Conduct sputum collection and facilitate referrals to GeneXpert/DOTS sites
- Track presumptive TB cases from identification to treatment initiation
- Identify and manage high-risk DR-TB populations
2. PMTCT Integration
- Link HIV-positive pregnant and breastfeeding women to care
- Monitor retention of mothers and infants in PMTCT programs
3. Data, Assessments & Reporting
- Conduct needs assessments and mapping exercises
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly program reports
- Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Excel
- Prepare data for DHIS2 reporting
4. Administration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop PowerPoint presentations for stakeholders
- Collaborate with LGA TB/HIV coordinators and health facilities
- Support budgeting, procurement, and administrative tasks
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Public Health, Nursing, Community Health, or related field
- 2–3 years experience in donor-funded health programs
- Practical experience in:
- TB Active Case Finding (ACF)
- DR-TB programming
- PMTCT (HIV care for mothers and infants)
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of DHIS2 is an added advantage
