Vacancies for Routine Immunization Master Trainers in Nigeria

Jhpiego is recruiting qualified professionals for the position of Routine Immunization Master Trainers in Nigeria. This is a temporary engagement with positions available in Abuja, Abakaliki, and Birnin Kebbi.

This role supports Nigeria’s national goal of achieving at least 80 percent routine immunization coverage by 2027, as outlined in the Nigeria Strategy for Immunization and PHC System Strengthening. The assignment focuses on strengthening the capacity of routine immunization providers across primary and secondary health facilities.

Selected candidates will lead training and mentorship activities across key areas including service delivery, cold chain and vaccine management, micro planning, injection safety, AEFI surveillance, data quality and use, and community engagement. Responsibilities also include facilitating competency based training sessions, supporting post training mentorship, and contributing to data driven performance reviews at state and local government levels.

The role requires coordination with national and state health authorities, including the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, as well as collaboration with immunization and logistics teams.

Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Medicine, or a related field, with EPI specific certification considered an advantage. Candidates should have 7 to 10 years of experience in routine immunization programming, including training facilitation, cold chain systems, AEFI surveillance, and data management. Strong communication skills and proficiency in English are required, while knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
