Stakeholder Relation Officer at New Incentives (NI-ABAE) – Kaduna

New Incentives (All Babies Are Equal Initiative – NI-ABAE) is a leading organization focused on increasing childhood immunization rates by providing small incentives to caregivers. Through its innovative approach, the organization not only encourages vaccination uptake but also raises awareness about the life-saving benefits of childhood immunization.

The organization is currently recruiting qualified candidates for the position of Stakeholder Relation Officer in Kaduna State.

Job Summary

The Stakeholder Relation Officer will play a critical role in building and managing strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including communities, healthcare providers, government agencies, and partner organizations. The role focuses on strengthening partnerships, increasing program awareness, and improving access to immunization services.

The successful candidate will also support advocacy initiatives and promote the organization’s programs within targeted communities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Advocacy and Program Awareness (30%)

  • Engage religious and community leaders to build trust and support for the program
  • Create opportunities to involve fathers and mothers within settlements
  • Strengthen relationships with government bodies, NGOs, and INGOs
  • Address supply-side issues promptly and anticipate potential challenges
  • Support the organization of awareness campaigns and community engagement events

2. SERICC Engagement (20%)

  • Promote awareness of SERICC and the NI-ABAE initiative
  • Represent the organization’s goals and objectives in meetings
  • Build partnerships and strengthen stakeholder networks

3. Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) Promotion (20%)

  • Improve public perception of the CCT program
  • Drive awareness and increase participation in the intervention

4. Stakeholder Networking (20%)

  • Maintain strong relationships with Ministry officials and Primary Health Care Development Agencies
  • Build high-level connections, including engagement with government leadership
  • Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness

5. Security Awareness (5%)

  • Report security incidents within operational areas
  • Ensure personal and team safety during field activities
  • Adhere to all security protocols, policies, and procedures

6. Other Duties (5%)

  • Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned by management

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • HND, B.Sc, or equivalent qualification
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably within an NGO
  • Background in health or natural sciences is an added advantage
  • Professional certifications in the NGO sector are beneficial

Skills and Competencies

  • Must be a Nigerian national currently residing in Kaduna State
  • Strong understanding of Nigeria’s health system, especially immunization programs
  • Passion for reducing infant mortality and improving public health
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Hausa, and local dialects
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet tools, and mobile technologies
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Language Requirements

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required
  • Knowledge of Hausa language is an advantage
