Key Responsibilities
The Program Officer will support project implementation and performance management for agriculture related projects including Green Jobs for Youth in Resilient Agrifood Systems in Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Liberia. In case you are interested in jobs at KOICA Nigeria, these tasks will be central.
will support research and surveys in the agricultural sector
will coordinate communication with government counterparts, partners and project teams
prepare technical reports, donor briefs and progress updates
document lessons learned and success stories
plan and participate in field visits to monitor project progress and provide technical support
collect field data and prepare mission reports
support basic office and procurement activities
The officer will carry out other tasks assigned by the office
Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria if they’re applying for jobs at KOICA Nigeria.
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture with at least three years agriculture project experience
Master’s degree or higher in Agriculture with at least two years agriculture project experience
Bachelor’s degree in a non agriculture related field with at least five years agriculture project experience
Additional Requirements
Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Applicants must be below 40 years of age at the time of application
Added Advantage
Project management certification such as PRINCE 2 or PMP
working with Korean government funded projects
Experience working with development agencies
managing large scale agricultural projects with budgets of five million US dollars or more is valuable for candidates interested in KOICA Nigeria jobs.
