Position: Program Officer
Location: Nationwide across all states in Nigeria
About the Role
Wikimedia Nigeria is looking for a focused and hardworking Program Officer to support the planning, coordination, and implementation of campaigns and projects across Nigeria. The person in this role will help ensure that projects are well organized, delivered on time, and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
The Program Officer will support the planning and execution of programmes and campaigns across different states in Nigeria.
The officer will help develop project timelines, work plans, and budgets to guide implementation.
The role involves monitoring project activities to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and targets are met.
The officer will prepare clear reports for partners, stakeholders, and funders.
The officer will coordinate volunteers and work closely with regional community leaders to support project delivery.
Requirements
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Applicants should have between three to five years of experience in project or campaign management.
Strong organizational skills, good communication ability, and good report writing skills.
Experience working with nonprofit organizations or community-based initiatives is an added advantage.
Experience with Wikimedia editing is an advantage but not compulsory.
