Supply Chain Officer Job in Jigawa
Save the Children International is currently recruiting for the position of Supply Chain Officer for a national role based in Jigawa State Nigeria. The position supports logistics and supply chain operations to ensure effective transparent and accountable service delivery across programme activities.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing transport and fleet operations including vehicle tracking maintenance scheduling and compliance with documentation requirements. The role also involves coordinating staff movement managing fuel consumption and ensuring vehicles are safe and operational at all times. In addition the officer will oversee asset and facility management by maintaining accurate records of all assets tracking their usage and ensuring proper issuance and return processes.
The role includes overseeing procurement activities in line with organizational policies including processing purchase requests managing supplier relationships and monitoring the timely delivery of goods and services. The candidate will prepare regular procurement and logistics reports track expenditures and ensure operations remain within approved budgets. Responsibilities also include maintaining organized documentation producing weekly and monthly reports and supervising drivers and supply chain assistants.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma with at least 3 years of experience in procurement and logistics preferably within an international non governmental organization. Strong communication organizational and analytical skills are required along with good proficiency in information technology and the ability to work in challenging field environments.
