The Renaissance Care and Empowerment Foundation (RECEF) is a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-partisan organization dedicated to societal development. RECEF focuses on Health, Education, Vocational Training, Economic Empowerment, and Conflict Prevention, with a primary emphasis on children, women, youth, and other vulnerable groups.
Role Overview
RECEF is seeking diligent and detail-oriented Data Collectors to serve as primary field-level operatives. The successful candidates will be responsible for the systematic gathering of information from designated communities and project sites. This role is a vital link between community realities and the Foundation’s analytical teams, ensuring that program implementation is backed by accurate and reliable data.
Key Responsibilities
• Data Gathering: Execute systematic data collection through surveys, interviews, and field observations.
• Technical Reporting: Utilize digital tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK) to accurately record and transmit data in real-time.
• Ethical Compliance: Ensure the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, and ethical conduct during all field interactions.
• Community Engagement: Act as a professional representative of the Foundation while interacting with community members and stakeholders.
• Verification: Ensure data consistency and quality before submission to the analytical team.
Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Background:
• Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), Higher National Diploma (HND), or a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Preferred fields of study include Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Health, or any related discipline.
Professional Experience:
• Proven experience in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), data analytics, or the implementation of community-based programs.
• Prior experience within the non-profit or development sector is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
• Digital Proficiency: Advanced skills in using digital data collection platforms such as KoboToolbox or ODK.
• Software Skills: Strong command of Microsoft Excel and other analytical software.
• Competencies: Excellent observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in diverse community settings.
