The Kingscity Initiative for Integrated Development (KIID) is a community-driven organization committed to building healthy, resilient, and empowered communities. We deliver integrated development solutions through equitable access to healthcare, climate awareness, socio-economic empowerment, cross-cutting community development, and evidence-driven research and evaluation.

KIID works with underserved populations, including women, youth, and vulnerable individuals and groups, across Nigeria.

About the Opportunity

KIID is inviting applications from committed, curious, and community-oriented individuals to join its Research and Assessment Team (KRAT).

KRAT plays a critical role in generating high-quality evidence to inform programme design, policy briefs, advocacy, monitoring, evaluation, learning, and accountability across KIID and partner development interventions.

This opportunity is open to:
• Experienced research and M&E professionals
• Motivated individuals with limited or no prior experience
• Unemployed youths, university students, young graduates, and NYSC members

Position Title

Research & Assessment Team Members
(Enumerators / Research Assistants / M&E Support – Entry to Mid-Level)

Key Responsibilities

Under supervision and with training where required, successful candidates will:
• Support field data collection activities, including surveys, interviews, and community assessments
• Assist with baseline, midline, and endline studies, needs assessments, and monitoring visits
• Participate in monitoring, evaluation, learning (MEL), and outcome harvesting activities
• Accurately record, verify, and submit data using paper-based or digital data collection tools
• Engage respectfully with community members while adhering to ethical research standards and confidentiality
• Support basic data cleaning, documentation, and reporting activities
• Participate in training sessions, debriefings, and learning activities to strengthen research and data skills
• Represent KIID professionally during field assignments and community engagements

Required Qualifications & Competencies

KIID encourages applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds and those seeking to build a career in research and development.

Essential Requirements
• Minimum qualification of SSCE (higher qualifications are an added advantage)
• Strong interest in research, data collection, monitoring, or community development
• Willingness to learn and participate in training on research methods and tools
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in community settings and follow instructions carefully
• Availability for short-term field assignments and occasional travel

Desirable (Not Mandatory)
• Prior experience in enumeration, surveys, research, or M&E
• Background in social sciences, development studies, public health, statistics, or related fields
• Familiarity with digital data collection platforms (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK, or similar)
• Ability to communicate in relevant local languages
• Basic computer literacy (use of smartphones, tablets, or laptops)

Note:
Lack of prior experience is not a barrier. Selected candidates will receive orientation and capacity-building support.
