Connected Development (CODE)

Connected Development (CODE) is a non-governmental organization working across Nigeria to promote transparency, accountability, and inclusive development. Through civic engagement and community-driven action, CODE empowers citizens to demand accountability in public service delivery and governance.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Programs Associate to support the design, implementation, and coordination of programs that advance citizen participation, social accountability, and community impact.

Role Overview

The Programs Associate will support program planning, execution, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement activities. The ideal candidate is passionate about development work, understands grassroots engagement, and believes that sustainable development begins with informed and empowered people.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of programs and projects.
• Engage communities, civil society actors, and other stakeholders to promote civic participation and accountability.
• Assist in data collection, documentation, and reporting of program activities and outcomes.
• Support coordination with partners, government institutions, and community leaders.
• Contribute to research, learning, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the organization.
• Assist in organizing trainings, workshops, meetings, and advocacy events.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support effective program delivery.

Qualifications and Skills
• A degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in civic engagement, governance, or development work.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with communities and diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to transparency, accountability, and social impact.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
