Programme Overview

Africa CDC invites qualified professionals to apply for an intensive Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) Training Programme designed to strengthen capacity in clinical trial safety oversight across Africa. This programme aims to develop the next generation of leaders in clinical trial safety, ethics, and decision-making.

Training Course Outline

Participants will receive comprehensive training covering:
• Introduction to Clinical Trials and DSMBs
• Vaccine Clinical Trials and Safety Monitoring
• DSMB Roles, Responsibilities, and Decision-Making
• Regulatory and Ethical Considerations
• Safety Monitoring and Risk Assessment
• Statistical Methods for DSMB Operations
• DSMB Meetings and Case Discussions
• Practical Applications, Quizzes, and Final Assessment
