The OUTCOME Study is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Study and Data Coordinator to support a research project investigating treatment outcomes for drug-resistant tuberculosis among children in Nigeria.
The successful candidate will work closely with principal investigators, study site staff, healthcare providers, laboratory stakeholders, and other partners to ensure effective implementation of the study.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Study and Data Coordinator will:
- Lead the day-to-day coordination and management of the OUTCOME Study.
- Work with the research team to develop and refine project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Ensure project activities comply with ethical guidelines and applicable regulations.
- Oversee study site research assistants involved in participant enrolment and follow-up.
- Maintain the study REDCap database and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Liaise with study site staff, laboratory stakeholders, and IHVN Biorepository staff to ensure appropriate transportation and storage of samples.
- Work with research assistants and data assistants to conduct routine data management, identify errors, and ensure corrections are made.
- Manage systems and user accounts that enable site staff to access the REDCap web portal and other data management applications.
- Conduct data quality assurance activities across study sites.
- Prepare regular progress reports and contribute to research publications.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input into project strategies and goals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants should have:
- Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Public Health, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, or a related field.
- Previous experience implementing and supporting research projects.
- Demonstrable experience in clinical or public health research.
- At least one accepted conference abstract or journal publication.
- Previous training in health research ethics.
- Experience using REDCap, Microsoft Excel, Stata, R, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
