JOB OBJECTIVE
The Programs Analyst will provide technical and analytical support across public health programme implementation, research, monitoring, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and organizational learning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support public health programmes from planning through implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Conduct literature reviews, desk research, and evidence synthesis to inform programme design and technical outputs.
- Assist with proposals, reports, presentations, briefs, and other knowledge products.
- Maintain work plans, trackers, implementation records, and performance data.
- Support research activities including data collection, documentation, quality assurance, and study coordination.
- Analyse programme and research data to identify trends and generate insights for decision-making.
- Support data collection, cleaning, and analysis for donor and client reporting.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
- Document project outcomes and follow up on action points.
- Monitor programme progress against agreed indicators and work plans.
- Contribute to reports, implementation updates, and client or donor communications.
- Build relationships with government agencies, partners, consultants, clinicians, researchers, and other stakeholders.
- Support client correspondence, meeting preparation, and follow-up.
- Maintain organized and confidential project documentation.
- Provide technical, administrative, and operational support for organizational priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree in:
- Public Health
- Medicine
- Nursing
- Epidemiology
- Health Sciences
- Social Sciences
- Development Studies
- A related field
Applicants should have 1 to 3 years of relevant work, research, volunteer, or internship experience in health research, public health programmes, or related areas.
Experience or exposure to clinical research, implementation science, or newborn, maternal and child health is an advantage.
Applicants should demonstrate an interest in health systems strengthening, research administration, or evidence-to-policy work.
Familiarity with the Nigerian health system and experience with academic, government, or non-profit institutions are desirable.
