CHAI Recruitment – Analytics & Implementation Research
Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is recruiting for two positions within its Analytics and Implementation Research (AIR) team. Both roles can potentially be performed from any CHAI programme country, subject to leadership approval and valid work authorization.
1. Research Associate, Analytics and Implementation Research
Location: Dakar, Senegal / potentially other CHAI programme countries
Work arrangement: Full-time, telecommute
Experience: 3+ years
Education: Postgraduate degree in Epidemiology, Economics or a related quantitative discipline
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct epidemiological and quantitative analyses
- Develop and refine cost-effectiveness models
- Apply geospatial and quantitative methods to programme targeting
- Analyse large datasets such as DHS, GBD and national surveys
- Conduct impact evaluations and causal analyses
- Review evidence and pressure-test theories of change
- Support pilot programme design
- Prepare evidence for government and donor decision-making
Technical requirements:
- Strong statistical/data-analysis skills
- Experience with Stata, R or SAS
- Cost-effectiveness modelling
- Evaluation design and causal inference
- Experience handling large survey and administrative datasets
- Understanding of LMIC health systems
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to use and critically evaluate AI-generated analytical outputs
- Fluency in English
Advantage: Geospatial analysis experience and proficiency in a language spoken in CHAI programme countries.

2. Technical Advisor, Analytics and Implementation Research
Location: Accra, Ghana / potentially other CHAI programme countries
Work arrangement: Full-time, telecommute
Experience: 7+ years
Education: Postgraduate degree in Epidemiology, Economics or a related quantitative discipline
This is the more senior of the two positions.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead complex epidemiological and quantitative analyses
- Build cost-effectiveness models
- Manage analytical workstreams from start to finish
- Apply geospatial methods to programme targeting and resource optimisation
- Analyse GBD, DHS, national survey and other large datasets
- Conduct impact evaluations and causal inference
- Pressure-test programme theories of change
- Translate complex research into policy recommendations
- Prepare presentations, briefing materials and memos for senior leadership and major funders
- Work directly with government and programme teams
- Support development of high-impact pilot programmes
Additional preferred experience:
- Working directly with global-health donors
- Preparing concept notes/proposals
- Reviewing or quality-checking analytical work
- Mentoring junior analysts
- Geospatial analysis
- Additional languages used in CHAI countries
