Job Summary

FID is seeking a motivated and committed Program Volunteer (Program Assistant role) to support program activities in:

  • Health & Nutrition
  • WASH
  • Protection
  • Livelihood

The role involves supporting planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of project activities in Borno State.

Key Responsibilities

Program Implementation

  • Support day-to-day execution of program activities
  • Maintain program records and databases
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting of activities

Community Mobilization & Capacity Building

  • Support community entry and stakeholder engagement
  • Mobilize beneficiaries for program activities
  • Provide mentorship and supervision to community structures

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting (MEAL)

  • Collect and compile accurate program data using tools like KOBO and ODK
  • Conduct regular field visits to ensure quality service delivery
  • Support:
    • Activity verification
    • Beneficiary feedback collection
    • Documentation of success stories
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports

Coordination & Representation

  • Maintain communication with:
    • Health facilities
    • LGA authorities
    • Community leaders
  • Participate in coordination meetings
  • Support supply chain tracking (commodities & IEC materials)

Safeguarding & Accountability

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and PSEA policies
  • Promote accountability through feedback mechanisms
  • Report safeguarding concerns according to procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong interest in humanitarian/development work

  • Basic data collection and reporting skills
  • Teamwork and adaptability
  • Organizational and time management skills
