Job Summary
FID is seeking a motivated and committed Program Volunteer (Program Assistant role) to support program activities in:
- Health & Nutrition
- WASH
- Protection
- Livelihood
The role involves supporting planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of project activities in Borno State.
Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation
- Support day-to-day execution of program activities
- Maintain program records and databases
- Assist in monitoring and reporting of activities
Community Mobilization & Capacity Building
- Support community entry and stakeholder engagement
- Mobilize beneficiaries for program activities
- Provide mentorship and supervision to community structures
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting (MEAL)
- Collect and compile accurate program data using tools like KOBO and ODK
- Conduct regular field visits to ensure quality service delivery
- Support:
- Activity verification
- Beneficiary feedback collection
- Documentation of success stories
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports
Coordination & Representation
- Maintain communication with:
- Health facilities
- LGA authorities
- Community leaders
- Participate in coordination meetings
- Support supply chain tracking (commodities & IEC materials)
Safeguarding & Accountability
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and PSEA policies
- Promote accountability through feedback mechanisms
- Report safeguarding concerns according to procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience
- Strong interest in humanitarian/development work
