Job Summary

FID is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Program and Grant Communication Officer to support:

  • Program visibility
  • Donor communications
  • Grant documentation

The role involves developing compelling communication materials, supporting grant processes, and ensuring effective documentation and dissemination of program impact.

Key Responsibilities

Communication & Visibility

  • Develop and implement communication strategies
  • Produce content for:
    • Newsletters
    • Reports
    • Website and social media
    • Program briefs

Documentation & Storytelling

  • Document:
    • Program activities
    • Success stories
    • Lessons learned
    • Project impact
  • Develop case studies and fact sheets

Grant Support

  • Assist in preparing:
    • Grant proposals
    • Concept notes
    • Donor reports
  • Ensure compliance with donor branding and communication guidelines

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with:
    • Program teams
    • MEAL (Monitoring & Evaluation) teams
    • Management
  • Support accurate tracking and documentation of project progress

Content & Asset Management

  • Maintain a repository of:
    • Program documents
    • Photos
    • Communication materials
  • Ensure easy access and proper organization of communication assets

Events & Engagement

  • Support organization of:
    • Workshops
    • Campaigns
    • Stakeholder engagement activities

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree in Communications, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related field
  • Experience in:
    • NGO communications
    • Grant writing or reporting
    • Content creation

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to translate program data into compelling narratives
  • Familiarity with donor requirements and reporting
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Creativity and ability to work collaboratively
