🏥 1. State Clinical Training Officer (SCTO)
Location: Abia State
Employment Type: Full-time
🧾 Role Summary
The State Clinical Training Officer (SCTO) will train and support public-sector healthcare providers to deliver high-quality family planning services, especially Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARCs).
The role also focuses on quality assurance, facility support, data management, and stakeholder engagement.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
👩⚕️ Training & Supportive Supervision
- Train healthcare providers on family planning services and ensure competency
- Conduct regular supportive supervision, mentoring, and coaching
- Maintain training records and competency databases
- Identify training needs and develop action plans
🏥 Clinical Quality & Facility Management
- Ensure compliance with MSI and national clinical standards
- Support infection prevention, emergency preparedness, and client safety
- Ensure availability of commodities, equipment, and clinical guidelines
- Prevent stock-outs and eliminate expired medical supplies
📊 Data Reporting & Management
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting into ORION system
- Validate and audit facility data before submission
- Maintain proper data archiving for audits
- Conduct performance analysis and reporting
🤝 Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent MSI Nigeria at state-level meetings
- Build strong relationships with government and partners (e.g., SMoH)
- Support demand creation and community mobilization strategies
- Strengthen MSI visibility and credibility in the state
📈 Leadership & Coordination
- Collaborate with Regional Managers and Quality Advisors
- Lead performance review meetings
- Promote a positive and professional work environment
🎓 Requirements
- Medical Doctor, Registered Nurse, or Midwife
- Strong experience in training providers on family planning (especially LARCs)
- Knowledge of Nigeria’s healthcare system and cultural context
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with NGOs or donor-funded programs (preferred)
- Proficiency in data management and reporting tools
- Willingness to travel frequently
