🧾 1. Compliance Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)

🧭 Role Summary
The Compliance Officer will support internal audit and risk management functions by ensuring that MSI Nigeria’s operations comply with policies, donor requirements, and regulatory standards.
The role involves evaluating internal controls, identifying risks, and providing recommendations to strengthen governance and accountability systems.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
🔍 Audit & Risk Management
- Support development and implementation of annual audit plans
- Identify organizational risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Conduct risk-based audits across finance, procurement, inventory, and operations
📊 Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with policies, donor regulations, and legal standards
- Review financial and operational transactions
- Conduct petty cash reviews, expenditure verification, and control assessments
📦 Operational Audits
- Audit procurement and vendor management processes
- Perform inventory checks, warehouse audits, and reconciliations
- Review fleet management (fuel usage, maintenance, utilization)
- Verify fixed assets and ensure proper documentation
⚖️ Governance & Reporting
- Prepare audit reports and present findings to management
- Monitor implementation of corrective actions
- Support fraud investigations and anti-bribery initiatives
- Conduct compliance spot checks across regions
📢 Capacity Building
- Assist in anti-fraud and compliance training programs
- Promote compliance awareness across teams
🎓 Requirements
- B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC experience
- Professional certification (ACCA, ACA, CIA) is an advantage
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
- High integrity and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and travel (minimum 30%)
🤝 2. Peacebuilding & Social Cohesion Officer

🧭 Role Summary
The Peacebuilding & Social Cohesion Officer will ensure that MSI Nigeria’s programs are implemented in a conflict-sensitive and inclusive manner, promoting trust, stability, and collaboration within communities.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
🕊️ Peacebuilding & Conflict Resolution
- Design and implement peacebuilding initiatives
- Facilitate dialogue sessions and mediation efforts
- Address community tensions that may affect program delivery
🌍 Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with community leaders and stakeholders
- Promote inclusion across gender, youth, and vulnerable populations
- Support awareness and behavior change campaigns
⚖️ Conflict Sensitivity & Risk Analysis
- Conduct conflict and risk assessments
- Integrate “Do No Harm” principles into operations
- Advise teams on mitigating social and political risks
📚 Training & Capacity Building
- Train staff on social cohesion and conflict-sensitive programming
- Develop tools, guidelines, and training materials
📊 Monitoring & Reporting
- Track impact of interventions and community feedback
- Document lessons learned and best practices
🎓 Requirements
- Degree in Peace & Conflict Studies, Sociology, Development Studies, or related field
- 3–5 years experience in peacebuilding or community engagement
- Strong facilitation, mediation, and communication skills
- NGO or development sector experience preferred
- Understanding of local socio-cultural dynamics
