📌 About the Role
The NFE Project Officer will support the successful delivery of the British Council’s Non-Formal Education (NFE) portfolio in Nigeria, including programmes such as Youth Connect.
The role involves project implementation, financial administration, reporting, data collection, operational coordination and managing relationships with delivery partners, vendors and other stakeholders.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Support programme operations and project implementation.
- Manage data, quality assurance, monitoring and reporting.
- Support grants administration and compliance with funder requirements.
- Coordinate procurement, events and training activities.
- Maintain effective programme records and documentation.
Financial Administration
- Support financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
- Monitor expenditure and maintain accurate financial records.
- Support timely financial reporting and audit compliance.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and support payment processing.
Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate relationships with partners, vendors and suppliers.
- Promote collaboration and accountability.
- Ensure agreed services and project outcomes are delivered on time.
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Apply basic monitoring and evaluation concepts.
- Support data collection, analysis and reporting to strengthen project delivery.
🎓 Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s degree — essential.
- Experience supporting programmes or projects.
- Administrative and financial administration experience.
- Good understanding of basic monitoring and evaluation concepts.
- Strong organizational and project coordination abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
