The International Rescue Committee is seeking a qualified Health and Nutrition Manager based in Gubio Borno. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein the IRC is a global leader in humanitarian response providing health safety education and economic support to communities affected by conflict and disaster.
This full time role involves leading the implementation of integrated primary health and nutrition services in Gubio and Ngala LGAs. The successful candidate will supervise health and nutrition teams support capacity building of clinicians and CMAM providers manage RUTF supply chains and ensure quality service delivery at health facilities. The role also includes community engagement stakeholder coordination monitoring program performance and ensuring compliance with donor and organizational standards.
Applicants will be responsible for supporting emergency health responses promoting Infant and Young Child Feeding practices conducting growth monitoring and MUAC screenings, strengthening referral pathways and integrating program activities with WASH, Protection, and Women Protection and Empowerment sectors.
Candidates should be health professionals with a degree in Nursing, Medicine, Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field, with at least three years of experience managing health and nutrition programs, preferably in humanitarian settings. Strong program management, data analysis, team supervision, and coordination skills are essential. Fluency in English and Hausa is required, with knowledge of Kanuri an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is expected.
