Solidarités International (SI) is an international humanitarian NGO working for over 40 years in conflict and disaster-affected regions, focusing on food security, water, sanitation, hygiene, and livelihoods. The organisation is committed to preventing all forms of abuse, corruption, and exploitation, and operates under a strict zero-tolerance policy for SEAH (Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment).
The organisation is currently recruiting an FSL Officer to support Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) activities in Monguno, Borno State.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mobilize and sensitize communities on project activities and objectives
- Identify training needs and deliver capacity-building for beneficiaries
- Support farming recovery, income-generating activities, and business management training
- Conduct beneficiary targeting, registration, and distribution activities
- Supervise cash or in-kind distributions using SI tools and standards
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and data management
- Collaborate with local authorities, extension officers, and stakeholders
- Monitor project implementation and provide feedback for improvement
- Participate in reporting, evaluation, and coordination meetings
Requirements:
- B.Sc./HND in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business Management, Rural Development, or related field (Nutrition is an advantage)
- 2 years’ experience with INGOs or 3–4 years with national NGOs in similar roles
- Experience in income-generating activities and Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) is mandatory
- Strong communication skills in English, Hausa, Kanuri, and other local languages
- Experience in Monguno is an added advantage
