JOB VACANCY – LIVELIHOOD OFFICER | MURMUSHI PEOPLE’S DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (MPDF)
Murmushi People’s Development Foundation (MPDF) is currently hiring a Livelihood Officer to support a UNICEF-funded multi-sectoral project aimed at strengthening economic resilience in vulnerable communities across Adamawa State, Nigeria.
Job Overview
- Position: Livelihood Officer
- Location: Mubi, Adamawa State (with travel to Gombi, Hong, Michika & Madagali LGAs)
- Contract Type: Full-Time (Project-Based – 1 Year, Renewable)

Job Summary
The Livelihood Officer will design, implement, and monitor livelihood programs that enhance household income, resilience, and sustainability in conflict-affected communities.
This role is critical in ensuring that interventions are impactful, community-driven, and aligned with donor and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement livelihood interventions and income-generating activities
- Monitor project performance and evaluate impact on beneficiaries
- Coordinate with stakeholders, partners, and local authorities
- Facilitate trainings, community engagement, and capacity building
- Prepare high-quality reports and program documentation
- Ensure compliance with donor (UNICEF) and organizational guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in livelihood programming (NGO/humanitarian setting)
- Experience with UNICEF, UN, or INGO projects is an added advantage
- Strong skills in report writing, coordination, and stakeholder engagement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and digital data tools
- Willingness to work in remote and conflict-affected areas
