The Malaria Consortium is inviting applications for the role of Logistics Assistant in Jigawa State. Established in 2003, the organization is globally recognized for its work in preventing, controlling, and treating malaria and other communicable diseases, with a strong focus on improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations across Africa and Asia.
This position is designed to support the effective management of SARMAAN II programme commodities and medicines at the state level. The Logistics Assistant will work closely with the Supply Chain Officer, Supply Chain Technical Assistant, and Admin Officer, contributing to efficient logistics operations and inventory control systems.
The role involves key responsibilities such as coordinating the pick and pack of medicines and program materials, managing stock documentation, supporting commodity verification during receipt and dispatch, and assisting in post-distribution reconciliation processes. The successful candidate will also help monitor stock levels, track deliveries, and report discrepancies to ensure accountability and efficiency within the supply chain system.
Applicants are expected to have a minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate, basic computer literacy, and at least one year of experience in commodity logistics or supply chain management. The ability to work under pressure, adapt to flexible working hours, and collaborate effectively within a team is essential. Experience in handling public health commodities will be considered an added advantage.
