In line with our commitment to data-driven excellence, NewGlobe is currently seeking diligent and motivated individuals to serve as Census Enumerators for an upcoming school-level data collection exercise in Katsina State.
Role Overview
The Census Enumerator will play a vital role in gathering critical information from primary schools across Katsina State. This position requires physical visits to assigned schools to collect data, which must be accurately recorded and submitted using specialized digital tools provided by the organization. This is a field-based role that demands high levels of integrity, accuracy, and professional conduct.
Key Responsibilities
• Field Data Collection: Conduct physical visits to primary schools within assigned local government areas in Katsina State.
• Data Entry & Submission: Utilize digital tools to accurately record school-level information and ensure all data is synced and submitted according to schedule.
• Protocol Adherence: Ensure that all data collection activities are performed in strict accordance with established research protocols and organizational standards.
• Reporting: Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager and provide progress updates as required.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct routine validations to ensure the data collected is consistent, reliable, and complete.
Requirements and Qualifications
• Technical Literacy: Proficiency in using smartphones and digital applications for data entry is essential.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with school administrators and local community members.
• Local Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Katsina State landscape and fluency in local languages is a significant advantage.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to undertake extensive field travel and visit multiple school locations.
• Experience: Previous experience in data collection, census exercises, or market research is desirable but not mandatory.
• Availability: Successful candidates must be available for training and data collection activities commencing in mid-January.
