Applications are now open for a two-day, in-person Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) workshop in Accra, Ghana, organised by the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development. This highly practical training is designed for journalists, media practitioners, and digital investigators across West Africa who are eager to strengthen their investigative reporting skills and effectively counter misinformation and disinformation.
The workshop will take place in Accra from May 26 to 27, 2026, and will bring together professionals from across the region for hands-on learning, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. Participants will be introduced to essential OSINT tools and techniques used globally to verify information, track digital footprints, analyze data, and uncover hidden insights from publicly available sources.
This training is particularly valuable in today’s fast-paced digital environment, where misinformation spreads rapidly across social media and online platforms. By equipping participants with practical OSINT skills, the programme aims to enhance accurate reporting, strengthen accountability, and promote ethical journalism practices across West Africa.
