The next edition of the Max Thabiso Edkins Youth Ambassador Program is set to launch, continuing a dynamic partnership with the World Bank Group’s Youth-to-Youth (Y2Y) Community. This global initiative is designed to empower young leaders by connecting them with peers, knowledge, and opportunities to drive meaningful climate action.
As an estimated 1.2 billion young people are expected to reach working age in emerging economies over the next decade, the urgency to create inclusive pathways to green jobs and sustainable livelihoods has never been greater. The program responds to this critical moment by equipping youth with the skills, networks, and platforms needed to shape a more resilient and sustainable future.
Through collaborative learning, innovation, and hands-on engagement, the Max Thabiso Edkins Youth Ambassador Program brings together young changemakers from across the world to co-create solutions that address climate challenges and contribute to a livable planet for future generations.
