POSITION: VERIFICATION OFFICER

LOCATIONS: LAGOS AND ABUJA

BlueFixx is seeking detail-oriented Verification Officers to help confirm the identity, trade competence and work history of blue-collar professionals before they are onboarded onto the platform.

The role involves document authentication, guarantor and community-based reference checks, site visits and coordination of practical trade tests, primarily across Lagos and Abuja.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Verify the identity and personal information of blue-collar professionals.
2. Authenticate submitted documents and relevant credentials.
3. Conduct guarantor and community-based reference checks.
4. Carry out field visits and site verification where required.
5. Verify applicants’ work history and trade competence.
6. Coordinate practical trade tests for prospective platform professionals.
7. Document verification findings accurately and maintain proper records.
8. Support the onboarding process by providing reliable verification reports.

REQUIREMENTS

1. 1 to 3 years of experience in Human Resources, background screening, recruitment or field investigation.
2. Minimum HND or BSc in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Sociology, Public Administration, Criminology, Social Work or a related discipline.
3. A background or coursework in Industrial or Vocational Education is an advantage, given the technical trade focus of the role.
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in information and documentation.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with applicants, guarantors, communities and other stakeholders.
6. Ability and willingness to conduct field visits across the assigned location.
