CORIN–NYFF Youth4Policy Kano Project: Youth Enrollment 2026

The Community Rights Initiative of Nigeria (CORIN), with support from the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF), is inviting applications from dynamic and passionate young people to participate in the Youth4Policy Kano Project: Strengthening Youth Engagement in Public Policy and Open Government Partnership (OGP) Reforms.

The initiative is designed to empower young citizens with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to actively participate in public policy and governance processes.

Through the project, participating young people will have the opportunity to move beyond being beneficiaries of government policies and become active participants in decision-making, policy engagement, public service monitoring, evidence generation, and constructive engagement with government institutions and other stakeholders.

About the Youth4Policy Kano Project

The Youth4Policy Kano Project seeks to build a generation of informed, confident, and active young citizens who can contribute meaningfully to policy processes and promote greater accountability and improved public service delivery within their communities.

Participants are expected to develop an understanding of public policy, governance, accountability, leadership, civic engagement, and Open Government Partnership (OGP) reforms.

The project will encourage young people to engage government institutions and other stakeholders as constructive partners in shaping policies, strengthening accountability, and improving services.

Who Can Apply?

The opportunity is open to young people living in selected Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Kano State, particularly individuals who are passionate about:

  • Public policy
  • Governance
  • Accountability
  • Open Government Partnership (OGP)
  • Leadership
  • Civic engagement
  • Community development
  • Youth participation in decision-making

Applicants should be motivated, willing to learn, and interested in contributing to positive change within their communities.

Eligible Locations

Applicants must be residents of one of the following LGAs in Kano State:

Dala | Nassarawa | Ungogo

Applicants will also be required to provide information about their ward or community during enrollment.
