Solar Sister is seeking a Global Monitoring & Evaluation Manager to strengthen its global monitoring, evaluation, learning, data systems, knowledge management, and organizational learning functions.
The successful candidate will support Solar Sister’s country teams to use data for strategic and operational decision-making, measure programme results, meet donor requirements, strengthen M&E systems, and improve organizational learning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Global M&E Manager will:
- Develop and deliver M&E training for country teams, leadership, HQ, and field staff.
- Develop quantitative and qualitative M&E tools, programme M&E plans, indicators, logframes, and organization-wide metrics.
- Develop and maintain data analysis tools, reports, dashboards, and systems that support data-driven decision-making.
- Support the organization-wide learning agenda and knowledge management plan.
- Coordinate M&E processes, including baseline and end-of-year surveys and other data collection activities.
- Provide technical support to country programmes and help ensure programme implementation remains aligned with approved plans.
- Prepare data-focused content for annual reports, GOGLA submissions, donor reporting, and other external communications.
- Organize webinars and participate in relevant industry conferences and events.
- Conduct research to support pilot programmes, data collection initiatives, and organizational learning.
- Support the Development Team with data for fundraising, proposal development, external communications, and donor reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Candidates should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, International Development, Information Management, Statistics, Programme Evaluation, or another related technical field.
- At least 6 years of professional experience.
- At least 3 years of professional experience using M&E to support programme design, implementation, and monitoring.
- Experience working in an international context is preferred.
- Experience working on gender issues and/or climate change is an advantage.
- Strong training and presentation skills.
- Ability to conduct research and synthesize findings.
- Ability to independently analyse quantitative data using Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong writing, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing demands.
- Willingness and ability to learn and use new technologies and techniques.
LOCATION AND WORK ARRANGEMENT
This is a full-time virtual position and candidates must be based in an existing Solar Sister country of operation:
Nigeria
Kenya
Tanzania
USA
Applicants must have valid authorization to work in their respective location. Visa sponsorship is not provided.
Occasional work outside regular hours may be required to accommodate international meetings with colleagues, donors, and partners.
Domestic and international travel may also be required depending on programme needs.
