OFFICE OF THE CHAIRPERSON RECRUITMENT CALL FOR SPECIALIST LEADERS
The Office of the Chairperson of the International Youth Council for Governance and Engagement (IYCGE) is currently seeking dedicated Specialists across several key disciplines. These roles are designed to contribute directly to the modernization, growth, and advancement of the organization mission.
As part of a strategic shift toward an expertise-driven executive leadership structure, these Specialist roles will replace the current Board of Directors. This move ensures that our leadership is focused on specialized knowledge and direct executive impact.
AVAILABLE SPECIALIST POSITIONS
1. Specialist for Communications
This role focuses on social media management, strategic communications, and multimedia affairs. The specialist will be responsible for sophisticated content creation and expanding the brand reach and visibility of IYCGE globally.
2. Specialist for Engagement
This leader will oversee digital engagement and audience interaction. The focus is on increasing public participation and visibility through strategic campaigns and active online community management across multiple platforms.
3. Specialist for Non-Profit and Non-Governmental Relations
This officer is responsible for building and strengthening external partnerships. The goal is to establish long-term, collaborative relationships with various international NGOs and non-profit organizations.
4. Specialist for Development
This role is vital for the financial sustainability of IYCGE. The specialist will focus on resource mobilization, including securing grants, sponsorships, and establishing diverse fundraising initiatives to support organizational growth.
5. Specialist for Policy Briefing
The policy specialist provides bi-weekly briefings to the Chairperson on significant international and national developments. This role requires the ability to distill complex news and policy updates into concise, strategic insights for leadership.
6. Specialist for Program Development
This specialist focuses on the design, improvement, and evaluation of IYCGE programs. The objective is to ensure that all initiatives align with organizational goals and are designed for long-term scalability and impact.
7. Specialist for Intergovernmental Affairs (Three Positions Available)
These specialists are responsible for maintaining and building relationships with national governments and intergovernmental institutions. They support IYCGE engagement with diplomatic bodies and international governance structures.
NATURE OF THE WORK COMMITMENT
Specialists are expected to contribute approximately 6 hours of work per week, with a mandatory minimum commitment of 4 hours. All roles involve working directly with the Chairperson, attending scheduled weekly meetings, and providing written input or verbal briefings as requested to support executive decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND LOCATION
This recruitment is nationwide across Nigeria and is open to individuals who possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND). While the roles are remote-friendly, they require a high level of professional discipline, analytical thinking, and expertise in the specific discipline.
