MSF France currently collaborates with the Federal Ministry of Health and other health institutions in Nigeria, focusing on:

  • VVF and maternity response in Jahun (Jigawa State)
  • Malaria and nutrition response in Katsina State
  • Coordination office in Abuja

Job Purpose

Support the Watsan Manager in implementing and supervising water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) activities in line with MSF standards to improve the health and living conditions of target populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with MSF protocols on water supply, sanitation, vector control, and waste management
  • Supervise WATSAN stock inventory to ensure uninterrupted availability
  • Manage and supervise Watsan and logistics staff
  • Participate in coordination meetings (e.g., WASH Cluster meetings)
  • Conduct outreach and assessment activities, including exploratory missions
  • Prepare Situation Reports (SitReps) and assessment reports
  • Plan and facilitate Watsan and logistics training sessions
  • Support emergency preparedness (EPREP) stock management and supply processes
  • Assist in market assessments for emergency items (e.g., cholera beds, water purification materials)
  • Provide technical support for construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of infrastructure
  • Monitor and supervise logistics orders and supply chain processes
  • Support inventory, procurement, and equipment management

Requirements

Education

  • Essential: Technical Diploma
  • Desirable: Specialization in Water & Sanitation

Experience

  • Experience in technical works and managing multiple activities
  • Experience with MSF or similar humanitarian organizations is an advantage

Languages

  • Essential: English
  • Desirable: Hausa

Contract & Benefits

  • 208 working hours per month
  • Salary based on MSF scale
