Job Overview
The Casual Worker (Market Analysis) will support the Supply Chain Unit by conducting systematic market assessments and maintaining up-to-date pricing data. The role ensures that procurement decisions are guided by accurate and reliable market intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
- Conduct regular market surveys for goods and services across assigned categories
- Collect, verify, and analyze price data from vendors, retailers, online platforms, NGOs, and supplier networks
- Support the development and regular updating of standardized price lists
- Use approved templates to document all market analysis activities
- Ensure proper compilation and organization of all market data
- Assist in validating Purchase Requisition (PR) costs against current market rates
- Liaise with vendors to obtain quotations and relevant market insights
- Maintain well-organized records for audit and reference purposes
Expected Deliverables
- Regularly updated market price database
- Completed market analysis reports using standard templates
- Summary reports highlighting price trends, variations, and insights
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics, Economics, or a related field
- At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in market analysis, price verification, or procurement support
- Experience working within NGOs, INGOs, or humanitarian contexts is an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze market data effectively
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general data entry
- Good communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Work Structure & Reporting
The Casual Market Analysis Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Supply Chain Team Leader, supporting procurement processes with accurate and timely market intelligence. The engagement is flexible and based on operational needs.
