Mercy Corps is recruiting for the position of Senior Supply Chain Officer to support its operations in Maiduguri, Borno State. This is a full time role with a hybrid work structure and may require travel to other field locations.
Mercy Corps delivers humanitarian and development programs across Nigeria, particularly in northern and northeastern regions, focusing on economic development, food security, resilience, and emergency response. The Senior Supply Chain Officer will play a key role in ensuring efficient procurement, logistics, and warehouse management to support program delivery.
The role involves leading procurement processes in line with organizational and donor regulations, managing vendor sourcing and contract administration, and ensuring transparency and compliance throughout the procurement cycle. The successful candidate will also oversee warehouse operations, including inventory management, stock control, and adherence to safety and storage standards. In addition, the role supports logistics coordination, documentation, audit readiness, and overall supply chain system strengthening.
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field, with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Experience working with international NGOs or donor funded programs is strongly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills, along with the ability to work effectively in complex and high risk environments. Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of Hausa or other Nigerian languages is an added advantage.
