Job Purpose

The Logistics Advisor reports to the Director, People and Culture and is responsible for coordinating logistics operations, overseeing travel arrangements, and managing office premises and organisational assets at both the Headquarters and Lagos office.

Key Responsibilities

Travel Management

Coordinate travel arrangements for staff, partners and visitors, including visas and ticketing.

Facilitate vehicle procurement and coordinate registration, insurance and maintenance.

Manage AAN fleet operations and systematize vehicle allocation.

Coordinate processing of work visas and permits for staff and international visitors.

Administration

Support development and implementation of vehicle and security policies.

Maintain and update fixed asset register and oversee asset disposal processes.

Ensure proper maintenance of facilities at HQ and Lagos office.

Support procurement processes for organisational assets.

Ensure proper documentation of vehicle licenses for drivers and consultants.

Security

Support implementation and compliance with safety and security policies.

Ensure availability of safety and security equipment across offices.

Participate in security forums and share updates with relevant teams.

Oversee office guards, site security and travel security arrangements.

Report safety and security incidents through the Incident Reporting System.

Key Working Relationships

Internal: Entire AAN staff

External: Service providers, partners and other stakeholders

Minimum Requirements

Education

First degree in Social Sciences or Arts and Humanities is essential.

Membership of relevant logistics professional bodies or travel agencies is desirable.

Experience

Minimum of five years experience in logistics or related functions.

Experience managing vehicle fleet scheduling and maintenance.

Experience supporting development and implementation of security policies.

Experience managing asset registers.

Experience working with international development or NGO agencies is desirable.

Skills and Abilities

Strong planning and prioritisation skills.

Strategic thinking ability.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Negotiation and analytical problem-solving skills.

High level of numeracy and IT proficiency, including Excel and MS Office applications.
