The Schools Group
Schools are at the heart of NewGlobe’s work. The Schools Group is responsible for the daily management and performance of each school, ensuring strong enrollment, high-quality teaching, effective leadership, and improved learning outcomes.
The team works closely with school leaders and teachers to provide continuous professional development, coaching, performance management, and data-driven support. Success is measured by both learning outcomes for pupils and the financial sustainability of schools.
About the Role
The School Supervisor is a field-based role responsible for the professional development, performance management, and overall effectiveness of school leaders and teachers. Supervisors spend the majority of their time in schools, providing mentorship, coaching, and structured feedback to improve teaching quality, school management, and student outcomes.
This role serves as the link between school operations and NewGlobe’s broader programming, integrating leadership development, instructional design, technology, and data insights to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
– Supervise and support school leaders across assigned schools, ensuring effective school management, strong teaching teams, and holistic child development.
– Use data from classroom observations, school management reviews, audits, and digital systems to drive continuous improvement in teaching and leadership practices.
– Spend approximately 90% of time in schools observing lessons, school operations, and engaging with stakeholders including parents, community leaders, and government officials.
– Use structured tools and rubrics to guide observations, coaching, and reporting.
– Support school events such as school openings, parent-teacher conferences, community showcases, co-curricular competitions, and school closing ceremonies.
– Ensure schools and students are prepared for government-proctored and national examinations.
– Strengthen enrollment, retention, and overall school performance.
– Ensure compliance with environmental, social, and national regulatory standards.
– Facilitate leadership and professional development sessions during the school year and staff induction programs.
– Support schools during staff transitions and collaborate with local government and community organizations as needed.
– Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
– Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) (mandatory)
– Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a primary school teacher
– At least one experience in community engagement
– Strong familiarity with school environments
– Tech-savvy, with the ability to work confidently with digital tools
– Willingness to travel daily and work in a field-based role

Eligibility & Location Requirement
This position is strictly open to candidates who are native to Katsina State and who are currently based in, or willing to relocate at their own cost to, one of the following Local Government Areas (LGAs):
– Batagarawa
– Charanchi
– Kankia
– Katsina
– Kusada
– Rimi
