The organization is currently recruiting a Medical Supervisor to support the implementation of health programs in primary health facilities. This is in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

Salary Range ₦500,000 – ₦750,000 monthly

Role Summary
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Medical Supervisor will ensure high quality implementation of health services supported by Médecins du Monde within Ministry of Health primary healthcare facilities. In addition, the role also focuses on strengthening health systems and ensuring integrated service delivery across Sexual and Reproductive Health, Gender Based Violence response, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, and Nutrition programs.

Key Responsibilities

Program Implementation
Ensure effective implementation of health programs in Ministry of Health facilities in line with project objectives and donor requirements.
Ensure compliance with grant guidelines, program standards, and internal organizational procedures.
Develop workplans and activity schedules with the Program Manager and ensure timely implementation of activities.
Monitor budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
Collaborate with Ministry of Health leadership to strengthen health systems and improve service delivery.

Service Integration
Lead and supervise the integration of Sexual and Reproductive Health, Gender Based Violence services, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, and Nutrition services into primary healthcare packages.
Furthermore, coordinate closely with technical officers and relevant stakeholders to ensure holistic health programming.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess a qualification as a Medical Doctor, Nurse, Midwife, Public Health Professional, or related field.
A certification in program management cycle is an added advantage.
Additionally, candidates should have at least three years of relevant professional experience in a similar role within the humanitarian sector or supervising health facilities.

Experience working with Ministry of Health structures and supporting health system strengthening is required.
Experience in program cycle management, budgeting, donor compliance, emergency response, and outbreak management is also desirable.
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to analyze epidemiological situations and provide appropriate interventions, as well as experience managing multidisciplinary teams.

Technical Skills

Strong coordination skills across health sectors including Sexual and Reproductive Health, Gender Based Violence response, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, and Nutrition.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Personal Skills

Strong leadership, mentoring, and supervision abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to different working environments.
Flexibility to work irregular hours during emergency responses.

Language Requirement

Fluency in English is required.
Knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
