The Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa is inviting applications from highly motivated and qualified candidates for the position of Research Associate in Health Economics. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong background in economic research and a passion for improving health systems and policy outcomes.
Applicants are required to hold a Master’s degree in Economics, Health Economics, Public Policy, or a closely related discipline. In addition, candidates should have between 3 and 5 years of relevant work experience in health research, public health policy, or development focused programs. Strong quantitative and analytical research skills are essential, along with demonstrated proficiency in technical and policy oriented writing.
The Research Associate will contribute to the design and implementation of applied research projects in health economics and health systems. Key responsibilities include conducting both quantitative and qualitative analysis using household, administrative, and health related datasets. The role also involves supporting econometric modelling, impact evaluations, and policy analysis to inform evidence based decision making.
Successful candidates will work closely with a team of researchers and policy experts to deliver high quality research outputs that influence policy and development outcomes across Africa. This position offers an opportunity to engage in impactful research while building expertise in health economics and public policy.
