POSITION: INFORMATION MANAGEMENT OFFICER

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking a qualified and experienced Information Management Officer to support its humanitarian and development programming in Nigeria.
The successful candidate will support information management, database administration, data quality assurance, beneficiary data management, reconciliation, reporting and technical support for programme teams and consortium partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Information Management Officer will:
• Maintain and update ActivityInfo beneficiary databases
• Support beneficiary registration, data entry, synchronization and data consolidation
• Configure, test and maintain ActivityInfo forms, databases, calculated fields and reporting tools
• Support mobile and offline data collection workflows
• Provide technical support to field teams and partners using ActivityInfo
• Conduct routine data quality assurance and identify missing, incomplete or inconsistent records
• Support beneficiary deduplication and maintain deduplication logs
• Support MPCA beneficiary and distribution reconciliation
• Cross-check FSP payment lists against finalized beneficiary and distribution records
• Prepare beneficiary lists, monitoring reports, dashboards, data extracts and summary statistics
• Support programme monitoring, PDM, donor reporting and management information needs
• Provide technical support and practical training to partners and programme/MEAL staff
• Maintain accurate IM documentation, data dictionaries, SOPs and user access records
• Ensure beneficiary information is securely stored and handled in line with DRC data protection and confidentiality requirements
• Support other information and data management activities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants should have:
• University degree in Computer Science, Programming, Information Management, Information Technology or a relevant field
• Master’s degree is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in information management, database design/administration or related roles
• Experience working with national/international NGOs or UN development and humanitarian projects
• Strong knowledge of data analysis tools such as ActivityInfo, Excel, SQL, R, Access, Power BI or other statistical packages
• Strong knowledge of database design, management and administration
• Ability to write database code and queries
• Knowledge of M&E processes and data collection platforms such as ActivityInfo, Kobo, ODK, SurveyCTO and CommCare
• Experience providing training and capacity building on information management systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Full professional proficiency in English
ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES
• Certificate in programming languages
• Experience with GIS mapping and spatial analysis tools
• Knowledge of languages spoken in Northern Nigeria
• Experience developing data tools and SOPs
• Experience using participatory training approaches
• Experience in integrated, multi-sectoral programming
• Strong practical experience with ActivityInfo
