Job Summary

Eden Solutions & Resources is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Technical Assistant (Agricultural Policy Analyst) to support agricultural policy development, agribusiness growth, rural finance initiatives, and value-chain strengthening. The role will provide technical and analytical support to bank-funded and development-oriented programs, contributing to evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning in line with institutional objectives.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical advisory support on agricultural policy, agribusiness development, rural finance, and agricultural value-chain strengthening in alignment with the Bank’s strategic goals.

•Participate in field assessments, stakeholder consultations, situational analyses, and regional monitoring activities to inform program design and implementation decisions.

•Support the appraisal, implementation review, and monitoring of bank-funded agricultural initiatives, including compliance observations and follow-up actions.

•Identify, analyze, and assess agricultural financing opportunities, strategic partnerships, and priority intervention areas within the assigned region.

•Prepare high-quality policy notes, technical briefs, analytical reports, presentations, and other documentation for internal use, strategic planning, and high-level meetings.

•Engage with public and private sector stakeholders, development partners, and beneficiaries, representing the Directorate in official meetings, technical discussions, and field engagements.

•Track agricultural sector trends, policy developments, and emerging issues to support informed decision-making and cross-cutting institutional assignments.

•Perform other related duties as may be assigned to support organizational objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

•Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Natural Resource Management, or a related discipline.

•A Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.

•Strong analytical, research, and technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.

•Demonstrated understanding of agricultural systems, value-chain dynamics, rural development frameworks, and agricultural financing models.

•Previous experience in development programs, stakeholder coordination, field assessments, or policy-related work is desirable.

•Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

•Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
