Inventory Officer

Pullus Africa is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Officer to oversee and manage inventory operations across the organization. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate stock tracking, proper storage, accountability, and efficient inventory control processes to support overall operational effectiveness.
The successful candidate will work closely with procurement, purchasing, sales, and operations teams to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize losses, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory operations, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of all stock items
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment while avoiding overstocking or stockouts
- Inspect stored goods to ensure quality standards and proper storage conditions
- Optimize storage systems for efficiency and space utilization
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations in handling and storing materials
- Investigate inventory variances, losses, or damages and implement corrective actions
- Prepare routine inventory reports on stock levels, trends, and reorder needs
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of all inventory transactions
- Support internal and external audits with accurate records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast inventory needs and improve processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Inventory Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, or storekeeping roles
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills with high attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage stock reconciliation and maintain accurate data
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of inventory control methods and storage practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards is an added advantage
- Must reside in Kaduna or Karu
