Background
Yiaga Africa is seeking an experienced and strategic Foreign Information and Elections Interference Manager to lead initiatives focused on identifying, analyzing, and responding to foreign information manipulation and interference in democratic processes.
The role will focus on strengthening electoral integrity, countering disinformation and malign foreign influence, and supporting democratic institutions to respond effectively to information threats.
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical capacity, expertise in information integrity and political communication, and the ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder responses to emerging electoral risks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for initiatives addressing foreign information manipulation, disinformation, and election interference.</p><p>Corporate Competencies:

Strong understanding of information integrity, disinformation ecosystems, and election security.
Knowledge of digital platforms, media systems, and emerging technologies shaping political communication.
Ability to conduct data-driven analysis and produce actionable insights.
Experience facilitating multi-stakeholder collaboration across government, civil society, media, and tech platforms.
Managerial Competencies:
Proven ability to manage projects, teams, and donor-funded programs.
Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Skills and Experience
A minimum of 7 years of professional experience, with significant experience working on democracy, governance, information integrity, media policy, or election security.
Advanced Degree in Political Science, International Relations, Media Studies, Public Policy, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience working on disinformation, digital threats, political communication, or foreign interference in democratic processes.
Experience managing multi-donor funded programs and partnerships.
Strong research, analytical, and policy development skills.
Ability to work with technology partners, media organizations, and civil society actors to strengthen democratic resilience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and data analysis or digital monitoring tools.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Proficiency in French and/or another Nigerian language is an advantage.
