This role will drive high-quality implementation across multiple states, strengthen government partnerships, and support sustainable scale of evidence-based education programmes that improve learning outcomes for children.

About the Role

The Country Regional Manager is responsible for leading and expanding TaRL programming within a defined region of Nigeria. The role involves overseeing implementation across multiple states, managing state teams, and building strong relationships with state governments and community partners. The position contributes to regional strategic planning and ensures programmes are implemented with quality, scale, and sustainability.

The role works closely with the Country Director, Head of MLE, and Programme Design and Pedagogy Manager to identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement. The position is based in a state within the region and involves frequent travel across the region, with occasional travel across Nigeria and Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Programme and Partnership Support

• Strengthen the quality and fidelity of Teaching at the Right Level implementation through capacity building of teams and government partners

• Provide strategic oversight and quality assurance to state teams, ensuring operational efficiency, financial health, and programme effectiveness

• Lead the design and launch of new programmes and partnerships aligned with TaRL Africa’s mission

• Support annual planning cycles and programme reviews to ensure strategic alignment and delivery of objectives

• Build and sustain productive partnerships with government and other stakeholders

Regional Strategy

• Lead regional expansion and scale-up across existing and new states

• Promote government ownership and long-term sustainability of programmes

• Translate regional priorities into coordinated work plans and budgets

• Use data, needs assessments, and stakeholder feedback to inform regional strategy
