A leading ethical and Shari’ah-compliant fund management firm in Nigeria is seeking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager to join its team in Abuja. The organization focuses on leveraging opportunities within the Islamic finance market while maintaining strict compliance with capital market regulations and Shari’ah governance standards.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and delivering tailored financial solutions to institutional and high-net-worth (HNI) clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in Shari’ah-compliant investments, ESG, and advisory services.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of institutional and HNI clients.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager, ensuring long-term client engagement and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with investment, compliance, ESG, and Shari’ah advisory teams to deliver customized solutions.
- Prepare proposals, pitch decks, and client engagement documents.
- Represent the firm at industry events, investor forums, and networking platforms.
- Track business development performance and achieve revenue and Assets Under Management (AUM) targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within financial services, asset management, or advisory.
- Experience working with institutional clients or HNIs is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of ethical and Shari’ah-compliant finance principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Relevant Islamic finance certifications will be considered an advantage.
