Role Summary

The Area Coordinator will lead programme implementation in Katsina State, providing leadership to field teams and ensuring effective delivery of WASH, MPCA and other priority interventions. The role involves coordination with stakeholders, compliance with donor and organizational standards, context monitoring and reporting to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead planning and timely implementation of project activities in line with objectives

Oversee monitoring, reporting, quality assurance and donor compliance

Monitor security and operational context and escalate critical issues to senior management

Ensure compliance with finance, logistics, procurement and HR procedures

Represent the organization in coordination meetings with government, UN and NGO partners

Supervise field teams and strengthen performance and coordination

Oversee area budgets and work with finance to ensure sound financial management

Requirements

Master’s degree in social sciences, business or a technical field

Minimum 5 years experience with an INGO in humanitarian or development settings

Strong experience in project management, coordination and partnership management

Proven team leadership and supervision skills

Experience with budgets, security management and field operations

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Knowledge of Northwest Nigeria is an advantage
