ActionAid Nigeria is a non-profit organisation working to promote social justice, gender equality and the eradication of poverty through community-driven development, advocacy and rights-based programmes. The organisation is recruiting a qualified professional for the position of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer (Scale NSR).
Location
Nigeria (North-Central, North-East and North-West regions)
Key Responsibilities
• Support the development and implementation of monitoring, evaluation and learning plans, tools and frameworks
• Coordinate data collection processes and ensure data integrity, timeliness and accuracy
• Analyse programme data and prepare reports to inform performance, learning and decision-making
• Facilitate periodic reviews, evaluations and learning events with programme teams and stakeholders
• Promote the use of data and evidence to support adaptive management and improved outcomes
• Provide technical assistance and capacity building to project staff on MEL processes, tools and standards
• Support the development of success stories, case studies and knowledge products
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and contribute to high-quality project reporting
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences or a related field
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in monitoring, evaluation, research or learning functions within development programmes
• Strong quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis skills
• Proficiency in data management and analysis tools such as Excel, SPSS, Power BI or similar
• Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across multiple locations
