💼 Job Title: Environmental Health Supervisor
The Environmental Health Supervisor will support the Environmental Health Manager in implementing and supervising sanitation and hygiene activities to improve public health conditions in MSF project areas.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of environmental health activities (water supply, sanitation, hygiene)
- Supervise waste management, vector control, and dead body management systems
- Ensure adherence to MSF protocols and operational standards
- Manage equipment maintenance (e.g., water treatment units, Dosatron systems)
- Oversee distribution and stock management of WASH materials
- Assist in emergency preparedness and response activities
- Supervise and train environmental health teams
- Conduct data collection, reporting, and performance monitoring
- Coordinate with logistics and other departments
- Lead vector control initiatives (e.g., insecticide spraying, rodent control)
🎓 Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in:
- Environmental Health Science
- Public Health
- Environmental Science / Management
- Specialization in Water & Sanitation is an advantage
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in environmental health or sanitation roles
- At least 2 years in a supervisory position
- Experience in inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Languages:
- English (required)
- Local languages: Hausa, Fulani, or Suru (highly desirable)
